Becca will be speaking at the SuperDome on July 24, 2009 to thousands of teenagers this summer as part of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) Youth Gathering in New Orleans. Read accompanying ELCA press release for further info.
On Monday, June 1st we will honor five women who have completed our two-year program. The event will be held at St. Augustine's Chapel (200 24th St., Nashville - click on title above for mapquest link) on Vanderbilt's campus at 11:30am. A potluck lunch will be supplied by volunteers and we will wrap up by 1:00. The service is always uplifting and inspirational and will also involve a clean-time recognition for everyone attending. Alison Krauss and Robert Plant won for Wide Open Country Video of the year at the 2008 CMT Music Awards. Each winner that evening was allowed to select a charity to receive $2,500. Thistle Farms and Magdalene were selected by Alison as her charity - we are greatlly obliged!
