Thistle Farms has been very active in the past few years participating in professional, civic and church-related events. Last year Thistle Farms sold products at over 200 events including women's health fairs, church retreats, civic club meetings, annual professional conferences and trade conventions. Some of our more recent events took place at 12th South Market, the YWCA: Lancaster's Humanity Fest, the Atlanta Diocesan Episcopal Church Spring Retreat, and the Southminster Presbyterian Church, among many others.
Sales events are a tremendous training opportunity for Thistle Farms and its educational, vocational goals. Employees function independently, setting up a booth, managing it during the event, giving short presentations about the products and the program (when appropriate), selling our products, and then handling inventory and accounting. Due to limited budget, though, events which require booth/exhibit fees will have to be individually evaluated.
